Join the Kosciusko County SWCD for our 2025 Indiana Master Naturalist class! You will receive a confirmation of registration from bolson@kosciusko.in.gov within 3 business days of registering for the program. This program is limited to 20 participants. If the class is full, we will return your registration and add you to our waitlist.

Program participants must be 18 years or older. Most classes will require moderate walking. Please call our office at (574)-267-7445 ext. 3 prior to registering if you would like to inquire about accessibility. If the program cost is a financial barrier to your participation, please call our office or reach out to bolson@kosciusko.in.govto inquire about scholarships.

Details

The Indiana Master Naturalist (IMN) program investigates topics in nature in the State of Indiana. Classes meet once a month beginning in March and continuing through November. The last class includes an assessment. Class meetings include a lecture followed by a field experience with hands-on learning. Those who complete the coursework and 24 volunteer hours will receive Indiana Master Naturalist certification. Program participants must be 18 years or older.

The Kosciusko County IMN program is limited to 20 participants each year, enrollment opens in January of each year.

The program cost covers all classes as well as resources for each class, including books. If the program cost is a financial barrier to your participation, please inquire about scholarships.

Indiana Master Naturalist is a program of the Indiana DNR and is locally hosted by the Kosciusko County Soil and Water Conservation District. Kosciusko SWCD won the 2019 “Host of the Year” award from Indiana Master Naturalist for hosting an outstanding program.
